At Fanning, student achievement is our highest priority. We believe that every child is capable of achieving greatness and we reinforce that belief with every fiber of our collective being. From the administrative staff to our dedicated teaching corps, we are committed to producing scholars of the highest caliber. We’re advancing that commitment to exceedingly high levels this year. Fanning is implementing several key initiatives to prepare your child for future success.
Fanning was chosen as the only St. Louis Public middle school to host Project Lead The Way (PLTW). Students will envision, design and test their ideas with the same advanced modeling software used by companies like Lockheed Martin, Intel and Sprint. They will study mechanical and computer control systems; think robotics and animation.
Nearly every classroom is equipped with state of the art Promethean white boards – designed to make learning more interactive for students and teachers alike. Students will also have access to two fully equipped computer labs and two mobile IPad labs. Technology constantly advances and your child deserves every opportunity to follow suit.
Embracing technology is critical to your child’s future success. Yet, we understand that our efforts will surely falter without support from committed parents like you. Therefore, Fanning will launch its Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) for the 2012-2013 school year. Be on the lookout for exciting monthly events and upcoming volunteer opportunities.
Achieving excellence is the hallmark of our mission. Our staff is fully dedicated to preparing your child to succeed in a growingly competitive world. We will spend every second, every minute of every day ensuring your child is prepared to meet that challenge. Join us this year as we move toward a bright new future.
